Jim Carpenter Obituary
Graveside services for Jim R. Carpenter, 69, of Butler will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 22, 2024, at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Jim passed away Friday, April 19, 2024. He was a retired truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Freeman Carpenter, and Inez Sawyer Carpenter; three brothers, Johnny Carpenter, Oscar Carpenter, and Pete Carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Katie Vaughn Carpenter of Butler; one son, Buford Carpenter (Michelle) of Butler; one brother, Donald Carpenter (Gail) of Butler; one sister, Bobbie Jean Prince (Bernard) of Macon; three grandchildren, Summer Deloach (Connor) of Columbus, Elizabeth Carpenter (Matt Rich) of Cartersville; and Hannah Carpenter (Cole Bailey) of Butler; three great-grandchildren, Louis Deloach, Payton Carpenter and Oliver Deloach; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 to 6 pm at the funeral home.
